Goodbye + Answer Keys

November 21, 2010

Thank you so much to everybody who played The Franklyn Wescott Enigma over the past two weeks! I hope everybody enjoyed it.

For those of you who didn’t finish, were stuck on clues, or even teams that finished– a complete list of answers.

1. Airport– Franklyn Wescott’s profile contained a Twitter URL from which the airport could be accessed. Wearing the ticket and touching the gate sent players a LM.
B – Lobby – Find the battery pack behind plant, wear and touch dead cellphone in the Lost and Found box. Look at cell phone number list posted behind counter, follow logical mathematical progression to figure out the phone number for 6B.
C – Office – Find and call cell phone number, find USB drive.
D – FIR&MNA – Wear USB Drive and touch computer for the clue– the Beyonce video lyrics are “to the left”, shifting all letters of the code to the left in the alphabet reveals code ‘Ingenue’
E – Ingenue – The vault has the word “Prime”. Do the math equations on the layers, the one with a prime number as an answer is the overlay key. The numbers are the code.
F – Office – Wear screwdriver and touch outlet to receive note.
G – ORTA – Famous book titles with one letter misspelled, the missing letters spell out REEK.
H – Reek – Touching the differences reveals the word NORTHWEST.
I – Northwest – The numbers are HTML color Hex codes, and when applied to the template it is the Belgian flag. Touching Belgium on the world map gets you an LM.
J – Doppelganger Inc. – The object name TwentySix stands for letters in the alphabet. Solve the equations and find the letters by their corresponding order in the alphabet.
K – Olive Juice – Finding all the scrabble pieces reveals the words Naith Smit.
L – Naith Smit – The ‘fragments’ contain letters on their sculptmaps, which you can see by editing it. Putting them in order spells out CHEERNO.
M – CheerNo – The password is just that: password.
N – Platform – Simple notecard.
O – Agent Orange – The signs on the side all say PBR which stands for Purple Red Blue. Reading the letters that are only in that order spells out ELATE.
P – Elate – The middle line of dots, when divided into three parts, are braille. It spells out PORK which is the code.
Q – RC Cluster – The sentences are pangrams that should contain all the letters of the alphabet. The missing letter in each sentence spells out CLAWTOOTH.
R – Clawtooth – The screen shows a website, and a site that shows how to go to a website’s source code. Going to the website’s source code reveals a SLURL.
S – Bacchitecture – The hint is ‘Bird’s Eye View’, if you open your world map you will see the word DUBOO on the sim.
T – Duboo – The numbers are GPS coordinates. By inputting them into a GPS coordinate website, you will get 4 locations. The first letters of their names spell out the password CAPE.
U – LISP Bazaar / Art Dummy – The squares are past vaults. Fill in the blanks, then fill out the last line with the corresponding colors.
V – The End.
